RGMS Earth Sciences Scholarship - $1,500

The eligible applicant enrolled full or part time with at least six credits at any two or four-year college or university in Nevada, such as Truckee Meadows Community College or the University of Nevada—Reno. Other Northern Nevada colleges are eligible.  

The student majoring in an aspect of geology is the primary considered candidate. Degree programs in geology — geophysics -- earth physics —mineralogy -- geological engineering -- environmental science – seismology -- hydrogeology, or other specialties in the geology field are acceptable. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) majors have consideration. 

A 3.0 GPA or above is required. 

Two-hundred-word essay maximum, explaining yourself and career objectives*

Winning applicant to present a 5 - 10 minute talk about yourself and career objectives at a Society meeting. Society meetings are held monthly in Reno, NV, at 7 PM, where photos for publication are necessary.
