The McDermitt trip was well attended with 25 people showing up for this extended trip. Everybody found lots of nice material! The pot luck was outstanding as usual. We had so much food that we decided to have pot luck the following night as well. Nobody left hungry those nights. I would like to thank Brad and Diana Watega and Kevin Colvin and Robin DeVisser for their scouting efforts on one of our trips in search of geodes. Unfortunately geodes weren’t found at this location but the views were outstanding and cell phone coverage was good. The next day however, Brad and Diana were able to locate a couple geode beds and took some of the members back and showed them the location. This might be a possible day trip location.
